[Paraview] "arg list too long" with Irix6.5 & Paraview 2.4.1 Source

I'm trying to compile Paraview 2.4.1 for use with our SGI's in-house, running
Irix6.5, and getting the following error:

$ gmake
-- Found existing Tcl,
not rebuilding
-- Found existing Tk, not rebuilding
Linking CXX static library
../../bin/libvtkKWParaView.a
gmake[2]: execvp: /bin/sh: Arg list too long

gmake[2]: *** [bin/libvtkKWParaView.a] Error 127
gmake[1]: *** [GUI/Client/CMakeFiles/vtkKWParaView.dir/all]

$ ^D

Any suggestions on how to get around
this?
