[Paraview] Terminology? Carpet plots == GIS Draping?

One of the greatest restrictions to cross discipline tools is
terminology.  Geophysical inversion is largely the same as medical image
reconstruction - at least in the maths and physics, but you wouldn't
know it comparing the terminology in the two fields.

Perhaps the recent post about carpet plots is exactly what I was
describing in my last post?  I apologize if I'm asking the top newbie
question in just a new terminology wrapping! ;-)
