[Paraview] paraview-1.2.1 Segmentation fault

I downloaded paraview-1.2.1
./uncompress paraview-1.2.1-x86-linux.tar.Z
 tar xvf paraview-1.2.1-x86-linux.tar
./bin/paraview
Segmentation fault
paraview-1.04 worked ok. Any thoughts as to what could be the problem
with 1.2.1?
