Hmmm... I’m tempted to say I would rather wait for it to work correctly.  My builds are basically the tests for the superbuild...

Any ETA on a fix?  If it takes too long, yes, I will try Ninja.

Do I need root for Ninja?

There's some build issues right now using Unix Makefiles. Try using Ninja (e.g. cmake -G Ninja ...).

If ninja isn't available on your system you can get it from https://github.com/ninja-build/ninja/releases. I did that today for Cori at NERSC and it worked fine for me.
