[Paraview-developers] strcpy and other bad actors

I am reading a plug here at Sandia about the new Samsung phone and it's very vulnerable software: https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/samsung-tizen-operating-system-bugs-vulnerabilities

When I looked up strcpy, I found this: https://randomascii.wordpress.com/2013/04/03/stop-using-strncpy-already/

It made me start to wonder - do we care about ParaView (which of course runs in user space). I just looked, and there are about 1800 uses of strcpy in ParaView. Is that an issue?

Thanks all,

Alan
