[Paraview-developers] Select-and-display tool in ParaViewWeb

Hi,

I would like to implement with ParaviewWeb the selection tool that allows to
draw a rectangle and then displays the values of all data points inside. 

I have been using ParaViewAdapter_pwsimple.py to realise (almost) a Slicing
widget. Does this file include any bits useful for the selection tool ?

What would be the general approach ? Are there any examples / helpful code
snippets ? I guess I need to first change somehow the mode so that I can
enter the rectangle.
