The rendering rules in this regard are funny, but the short answer is no. If a polygon is small and slips between pixel centers, it can disappear.

If I have a very thin 2d or 3d ribbon, shouldn’t it be at least 1 pixel wide? Or, should it just disappear?
Example is sources/ Mandelbrot, then display tab, bottom, scale-y == 1e-12.
