[Paraview-developers] saving the state of the pipeline

There is a comment in the SaveState(ofstream *file) method in
vtkPVSource.cxx:

"// What about visibility?
 // A second pass to set its state?
 // Can we disable rendering and changing input visibility?"

Has there been any more discussion concerning this? I have this need to be
able to save the state only of visible sources in order to exactly
regenerate what's displayed in the main window.
