Dear Agneet,

we had a very successful GSoC project which is documented and available here:
https://github.com/malithakabir/RDKitGSoC2017

It uses the very powerful cheminformatics toolkit RDKit (www.rdkit.org<http://www.rdkit.org>) in combination with a Javascript library named 3Dmol.js in order to allow for a visualization/modification of small molecules and protein-ligand complexes inside a web browser, which is really cool!

Cheers,
Paul

Betreff: [Openchemistry-developers] Introduction : GSoC 2018

Greetings developers,

I'm a junior year undergraduate student pursuing Computer Science at Jadavpur University, India. I hope to contribute to Open Chemistry as a developer and as a prospective GSoC student for 2018.

I have accustomed myself well with Python and its many faceted libraries, for over 2 years now.

Could someone point me to open issues in the existing code base, to start with or introduce me to some exciting project ideas so that I can start contributing?

Thank you.

Best,
Agneet.
