[Midas] dicom extractor

Hi all,
I'd like to know if Midas would fill my need.  I currently have a database to store informations on patients data. Some of these informations are related to dicom tags extracted from images. 
I understood that midas is also able to perform this task (maybe I am wrong) via dicomextractor module. But, it appears that this module isn't available with the database type I am using (related to postgres ?)
