Thanks Patrick,
Can I ask what kind of data is storing in the database? We worried about storing data on the application server and wanted to store it on the data server so, as Mike guided me, I define the assetstore on the data server. Can I have the database on the data server as well?
Cheers,
Samira

Samira,
To backup a midas instance you should backup that assetstore and the mysql or postgresql database. Restoring both will allow you to restore a midas instance to its current state.
For convenience, you may also want to backup <MidasRoot>/core/configs to get any configuration values that you want to keep through the restoration.
HTH.

Hi All,
As I know, in Midas, the data is stored in assetstore (Midas format not original format). For backup the data what is the safest method? is it enough to back up the assetstore? What will happen to data if Midas crashes?
Thank you,
Samira
