OK I got it upgraded to 2.8. Same problems though with the MIDASDesktop.

Chad,
Do you think it would be possible to upgrade the server to something further along the 2.X series (such as 2.8.0)? 2.7 is indicative of an unstable tree built between releases. That should allow us to more effectively troubleshoot the issue.
An update from 2.7 to 2.8 should be handled within the Administrative pages of Midas Server.
