[Midas] No "Upload File" Option under Item Menu

Hello,

I'm in the processing of evaluating Midas for a large image repository as part of the NCBC funding iDASH center at UCSD. I've created an instance of Midas on an Ubuntu virtual machine. Installation was unremarkable except that I could not get the WordFrequency script to run correctly.

However, I cannot get image uploads working. I've followed the steps outlined on the "Getting Started with MIDAS" web page. I've created a Community, a Collection and then an Item. Under the Item menu there is no  option for "Upload File" as listed on the help page. There is an "upload large files" option, but this does not work on Ubuntu as a suitable plugin cannot be found for Firefox (or Chromium).

Any thoughts on where the missing "Upload File" option is?
