[Insight-users] interpreting registration-produced displacement fields

Hi all,
Sorry for more questions about the directions of transformations..
Using a variation of the 'DeformableRegistration' example utilizing Demon's
algorithm, I use a 'deformed' image as my 'fixedInput', and a 'normal'
image for my 'movingInput'. I do this because I want to produce a
displacement field that when used with WarpImageFilter, could transform my
'normal' image to my 'deformed' image.
I hope this is right so far!
I'm trying to interpret/query the visualized displacement field (using
paraview), and I have already 'flipped' the x- and y- components each
displacement vector obtained at each voxel. Now, I would like to
query/determine the displacement vector at a point I identified on my
'normal image', which has an (x,y,z) position I can provide.
Should the (x,y,z) point from my 'normal' image correspond to a vector in
the displacement field - located at (x,y,z) of the displacement field data
- that would allow me to determine the vector that took my point in the
normal image, (x,y,z), to its new location in the 'deformed' image,
(x,y,z)'?
Thanks so much for the help,
