[Insight-users] convert MRI to CT by changing dicom header

Thank you guys. We would like to use MRI geometry rather than CT's for the treatment purpose, so we try to modify the MRI dicom headers (to make it CT header-alike) instead of mapping the pixels from MR to CT.

Dose accuracy based on MRI will be an issue, but not a major concern for the time being. Thanks.

One way to tackle this is to assign HU of water or set in homogeneity correction off. Of course you need to compromise the accuracy!

I’m sure that you can take the image pixels from an MR image and pack it into a CT image, but it would be an extremely bad idea.
