[Insight-users] Question about LaplacianRecursiveGaussianImageFilter

Hello,

I have a couple of questions about the recursive gaussian derivative
filters. In the Laplacian filter, the second order derivative filter
is the first one in the pipeline followed by the smoothing filter.
Should this not be the other way around? I mean, the convolution with
the derivative of the gaussian with the smoothed image would be the
laplacian. So we should smooth the image first and then convolve it
with the appropriate derivative kernel or does it not matter?

Any help would be really appreciated.
