[Insight-users] mean value is a vector in SpatialObjectToImageStatisticsCalculator?

I tried to calculate the mean value of an image inside an ellipse, and i get
a 3 element vector back. How do I interpret that? I was hoping for one
double...

The spatial object section in the itk software guide didn't shed any light
on the situation, so where can I find some more info?
