[Insight-users] How does one incorporate some of the code that you can download?

I downloaded the paper and ITK code for run-length matrices for texture 
analysis,
from the website: http://www.insight-journal.org/browse/publication/231

It looks like it could be useful and I would like to give it a try.

However, it is not clear how one goes about incorporating this code into 
the ITK code tree and then
building ITK again.

Could anyone provide some "insights"? ;-)
