[Insight-users] Registering a 2D slice in a 3D image

Hello all,
     Is there any built in functionality in ITK to register a 2D slice in a
3D volume? I am new to the area of image registration and was looking for
very specific handles in the docs so probably couldn't find anything that
might have been useful.

Appreciate any suggestions/pointers.
