[Insight-users] 3D BSplineDeformableTransform?

I was looking at the BSplineDeformableTransform and pratically the
only thing that is changed is the dimension from 2 to 3.
When setting up the BSpline grid its still done in 2D, how does that
work? Does the same 2D Bspline grid just get used for each slice in a
3D volume? This would mean that when going from 2D to 3D the problem
is actually just reduced to a sequence of 2D transformation problems.
Would it not be more "correct" to define the grid as a volume too that
might change for each slice?
