Yes,
That's indeed the purpose of that method.
metric->SetFixedImageRegion(UserSpecifiedRegion);
You can define any subregion of the BufferedRegion,
as the portion of the image in which the Metric
will be computed. Only pixels inside this region
will participate on the metric computation.
