Tell The United States Patent and Trademark Office that software and
business method patents should not be part of the EU-US patent treaty.

The USPTO has put a call out for public comments at
<http://www.uspto.gov/go/og/2007/week22/patcomm.htm>.


            The deadline is *June 22* (Sunday).


They write:


SUMMARY:
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is seeking
comments to obtain the views of the public on international
efforts to harmonize substantive requirements of patent laws,
and any potential subsequent changes to United States law and
practice. Comments may be offered on any aspect of these efforts.


DATES:
Comments will be accepted on a continuous basis until June 22, 2007.
