Hi, Lars,
You might also want to try Amide. (http://amide.sourceforge.net/)
I found it very useful to load multimodal images (it loads raw as well as
DICOM images, and much more).
I am not associated with the project, came to use it by recommendation too.
It is simple to use, is gtk based, and is free!!
Hope it helps,
Pixel.To.Life.

Louis,
Thanks a lot for the proposals. The
LandmarkInitializedMutualInformationRegistration
tool sounds good for my purposes but I can't find it. If it's the
ImageRegistrationTool.exe
than the link is not working.
regards,
Lars

Hi Lars,
You may want to try:
1) ImageViewer : source code available with InsightApplications
and binaries for Windows are available at:
http://public.kitware.com/pub/itk/InsightApplicationsBin/
2) Slicer: You can download both source code and binaries
from http://www.slicer.org
3) The LandmarkInitializedMutualInformationRegistration
program (also in Insight Applications) is a very good
application for looking a two registered images. It
uses color blending in order to compare both images.
Regards,
Luis
