Postdoctoral position, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University,

The Bioimaging Systems Lab at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State
University (Virginia Tech), Blacksburg VA, USA, has an opening for a postdoc
beginning August 2007. The postdoc will be expected to develop mathematical
models and software for the registration of structural MRI data sets. The
candidate should have a strong background in applied math (specifically
differential geometry) and computational approaches to solving PDEs. Solid
programming skills in C++ and/or Java, and experience in working in a Unix
environment is required; experience with neuroimaging methods and ITK is
desired. The applicant should have excellent demonstrated skills in written
and spoken English.
 
Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. in one of the following or related
fields: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Applied Math or Physics.  The position is  renewable on a yearly basis  for
