[Insight-users] DCMTK_DIR not found while building InsightApplications

Hallo, 

while building InsightApplications with Cmake, I got the message that "DCMTK_DIR not found". 
Which applications use this toolkit actually?  More specificly, does ITK now rely on DCMTK for
dealing with DICOM data? Do I have to install it in order to read/write DICOM files with ITK?
