[Insight-users] what is raw type, and grid, is it the type i should use for my data?

Hi all
 please tell me what is the type of data i should use to save my volume i construct from projections of 2D image: it is a <float,3> image (64*64*64) and each voxel is containing a grayscale value.
 and what is raw type, and grid?
 and how can i visualize all the volume i construct, and not only slice by slice.
