Hi,

Replying to my own post... through some trial and error, I found the 
x-ray format in ./Male/radiological/xray8 of the VHD to be RAW 8-bit with:

Header: 0
Width:  1248
Height:	1536

The one exception is the left knee x-ray (x_vm_lt.kn) whose width and 
height still escape me.
