[Insight-users] Some questions on FEM-Registration Example

Hi all,

I want to use the DeformableRegistration1 example to deformably
register two volumes.

Therefore I have some questions:

1.) The code contains an intensity rescaling of the moving and fixed image to 8 bit
and histogram - matching the result: why is this done and why is it first rescaled to 8 bit???
This part is also missing in the softwareguide.

2.) 
I don't want to use a parameter file.
I had a look in the FEMRegistrationFilter source and noticed, that there are lots of
parameters, which are set in the function for reading the parameter file.
Can somebody please explain these parameters and especially which MUST be set and for which
does the class have defaults?
