Dear all,

I hope this message is not too much off topic, but I think this mailing
list is a good place to make such an announcement, since the hereafter
described position is highly focused on medical image processing.

Of course, for those who are interested and motivated please do not reply
on this mailing list, but rather directly contact the persons mentioned at
the end of the description.

Regards,
Jean-Michel.

Position within Philips Medical Systems Research, Paris (MediSys)

Philips-MediSys: is a Research group located in the near suburb of Paris (Suresnes). Its
domain of activity is that of Image Analysis and Processing for various
Medical Imaging Modalities.

Research Subjects: Image Processing (2D, 2D+time, 3D, 3D+time). Providing innovative
algorithmic solutions for improving the quality of medical images.
Enhancing specific objects in those images.

Both image quality and the visibility of clinical relevant objects are
important issues in Medical Imaging. They constitute key elements for
commercial success and can be significantly improved if suitable Image

In addition to technical and scientific skills and to creativity, the
position requires human relation capabilities. The work will be conducted
in collaboration with Development and Predevelopment teams of Philips
Medical Systems in the Netherlands, the USA and Israel as well as with
various clinical sites.

The candidate should have a sound technical background, solid C/C++
programming skills and should hold academic degree(s) such as:
- Engineering school degree (e.g. french Ecole Polytechnique, Centrale, Supélec, Sup Télécom?), or an Equivalent degree from a top European or US University,
- A PhD in image processing would be an asset,

A good mastery of English and French is required.
