Dear Colleagues,

We have two open positions in the area of medical imaging. One position
will focus on reconstruction issues of dynamic SPECT imaging while the
second position will deal with the analysis (segmentation and
visualization) of the dynamic SPECT images. The research will be conducted
within an interdisciplinary research group consisting of researchers of
the Medical Imaging Research Group (http://www.physics.ubc.ca/~mirg/) at
UBC and the Medical Image Analysis Lab (http://mial.fas.sfu.ca/) as well
as the Graphics, Usability and Visualization Lab (http://gruvi.cs.sfu.ca/)
both at SFU.

The applicant should be able to demonstrate knowledge in the areas of
numerical analysis, image processing and visualization. Applicants with a
Ph.D. in Applied Math, Computing Science, Medical Physics or Scientific
Computing will be considered. Please send your CV and publication list as
well as a list of references and your status in Canada by email to Anna
Celler (aceller at physics.ubc.ca) before March 15.

UBC and SFU are located in the Greater Vancouver Area - a unique living
environment provided by the beautiful city of Vancouver and nearby
wilderness areas.
