[Insight-users] Is it possible to ground truth data in VolView?

Hi Todd,

I assume that by "ground truth" you mean "manual segmentation",
which is a questionable association, but a widely accepted one.

VolView doesn't support manual segmentation at this point. You
may want to take a look at the SNAP tool in InsightApplications
and to Slicer. Both of them provide functions for manually drawing
polygonal regions slice-by-slice and constructing volumes masks
from them.

VolView provides a good set of ITK segmentation methods implemented
in the form of plugins. This includes: region growing, level sets
and watersheds.

   Regards,

      Luis
