[Insight-users] which dicom classes are recommended?

Hi,
I have dicom data with multiple series per directory. There seems to
be 2 sets of dicom IO routines - GDCM based classes and ITK internal
classes. I get the impression that the GDCM ones are recommended - is
that correct?

If this is the case then I'm guessing that my best option is to
produce a modified version of itkGDCMSeriesFileNames.
