Hi Kai,

You will find in ITK all the elements required for
performing ridge detection. However, they are not
packaged in a single filter.

For a full fledge ridge detection demo application
entirely based on ITK, please look at the directory
Curve2DExtraction inside InsightApplications.

A description of this application is available at:

   http://www.itk.org/HTML/Curve2DExtraction.htm

In the example illustrated in this page you will find
how fluoroscopic images from DSA are processed in order
to detect and extract blood vessels in the brain. We
have used a variation of this application for detecting
a surgical needle in intraoperative fluoroscopic images.

Please let us know if you have further questions,

   Thanks,

      Luis
