[Insight-users] Freehand US-US registration

Hi everyone,

 

I'm a newbie to ITK and would like to register 2 freehand 3D ultrasound
datasets. The data consists of slices with arbitrary orientation (they may
even intersect sometimes). This presents me with some questions:

-          What is the proper way in ITK to represent this data?

-          Does the data need to be resampled? If yes, how?

-          Has anybody got experience with this problem? If yes, do you know
any specific successful methods for registering this type of data?

Any help on this is welcome. Thanks in advance!
