Access to point data in the mesh is discussed
in Section 4.2.2, pdf-page 73.
You can basically take the final section of code
from the example
Insight/Examples/DataRepresentation/Mesh/PointSet2.cxx
open a file before the loop of the iterator, and
instead of writing data to "cout" send the data
to th ofstream associated with your file.
For saving cell (triangles) data, you may follow the
example in Section 4.3.7, pdf-page 104, the code
of this example is in
Insight/Examples/DataRepresentation/Mesh/MeshCellsIteration.cxx
