The file name depends on the software used to create the file. In your =
case, the file name is undoubtedly the same as the SOP Instance unique =
identifier in the DICOM header. However, this id is generated in various =
ways. Sometimes you can find the date in there, and often (but not =
always) the last three numbers correspond to the slice order. In fact, =
the standard explicitly states that unique identifiers should not be =
parsed in an attempt to find a particular value or component.
