[Insight-users] FEM theory and usage

looking at the code it seemed to me that the FEM deformation model can =
be used with any of the available metrics. But as I have not any =
experience with ITK, I do not see how one can instantiate the =
corresponding classes in order to use, for instance, the mutual =
information metric. I have still some difficulties in understanding many =
aspects of template classes within ITK, but this is my fault.
Are there somewhere more available documentation or samples on the use =
of the FEM registration ?
If somebody knows about the reference papers for the implementation of =
the FEM method in ITK, please let me know.=20
