[Insight-users] Getting ready for ITK release 1.2

Hi,

Just to keep you updated in the changes
that are being made in preparation for
the release 1.2.


We are arranging things so there is a
consistent set of versions that will build
all the code including examples, tests,
wrapping and demo applications.


The set will be:

1) ITK     1.2
2) CMake   1.6.4

3) VTK     4.2      (to be released soon)
4) FLTK    1.1.2    (the latest)

5) GCCXML    0.4.1
6) Cable     (cvs)


Note that dependencies on GLUT have been removed.

This reorganization will solve the major
obstacle that users are finding with the
toolkit. Which is: how to find a consistent
set of libraries that will build everything.

After the 1.2 release, ITK applications will
stick to the mentioned versions of third party
libraries (or its patches, if bugs are found
and fixed).
