You may try the filters/algorithms in:
http://www.itk.org/Insight/Doxygen/html/group__RegionBasedSegmentation.html

Click in any one of:

- Fuzzy Connectedness-based Segmentation Filters
- Region Growing Filters
- Markov Random Field-based Filters
