[Insight-developers] itkDiffeomorphicDemonsRegistrationFilter.h produces drastically different results in ITKv4

I realize that these functions are in "Modules/Nonunit/Review", and probably do not meet ITK's normal level of rigor in testing.    I have been using the DiffeomorphicDemonsRegistrationFilter for many years in ITKv3 and have a pretty extensive test suite that continues to pass in ITKv3.  Build with ITKv4, however, produces drastically different results even with just 1 iteration.  The resulting values in the deformation fields in ITKv4 seem to have values that are several orders of magnitude larger than those in ITKv3.


Does anyone have insight about a change that may cause this?
