I moved LabelOverlapMeasuresImageFilter from the Insight Journal:

It includes the functionality of your two gerrit topics as well as several
other measures.

The approach here, differs from yours. This class acts as a filter by
passing through it's input. It does not produce an image that contains the
union of the inputs. This can be accomplished with other itk filters. It
does provide the measures for multiple labels.

Please look at this new class as a replacement for your two topics. Also,
please provide comments for enhancements to the class. Also make sure that
it meets the requirements of your microscopy applications.
