[Insight-developers] Gerrit Topic Commit Messages

Folks,

It is important that the commit messages for gerrit topics contain a
proper change id as the last line for the commit message. If the
change id is not present in the commit message, then gerrit will not
recognize that the topic has been merged after a gerrit-merge.

This step:
./Utilities/SetupForDevelopment.sh
is particularly important. If defines git aliases for gerrit pushing
and merging. It also sets up hooks to format your commits properly as
well as setting up other important pre-commit hooks.
