[Insight-developers] CovariantVector missing ComponentType?

I got this error message when trying to cover all voxel types with an
image processing program:

InsightToolkit/IO/itkDefaultConvertPixelTraits.h:51: error: no type named
'ComponentType' in 'class itk::CovariantVector<long int, 10u>'


Is there a reason for no ComponentType in CovariantVectors?

Could we add it for orthogonality's sake?
