My goal for this page is to have mostly ITK-specific information.
It can link to more general Git pages though.

Sure.  Create a page at something like

 http://www.itk.org/Wiki/ITK/Git/Tips

Start by moving content from this section:

 http://www.itk.org/Wiki/ITK/Git#Tips

and updating the section with a link to the new page.
Then put whatever else you want in the new page.
