If you send me the vxl patch, I can apply it upstream to fix the vxl 
sync issue.  I don't think vxl community cares much exactly where the 
file ends up.  (Over the years, it's been pretty much impossible to keep 
track of where CMake puts it's various generated files anyway... :-) )
