[Insight-developers] Compute Statistics for Matrix Data (Diffusion Tensor Data)

Hi friends,

I need to compute a special statistics (J-divergence) for matrix data
(Diffusion Tensor data). In J-divergence probability metric, mean is
computed via matrix manipulations. ITK user guide was carefully studied
which lead me to conclusion which there is not a straight way to compute
statistics for matrix data. Statistics functionalities were developed in
ITK  such as data container, sample interface, algorithms , and functions
for vectors. I need to have the same concepts and tools for matrix data.

I will be grateful if any one could help me in this issue.
