After sending the 2 mails this morning, I have a look at implementing both
the N->N-1 and the N->N features in ProjectionImageFilter. The code is
nearly ready, but test if InputImageDimension equals OutputImageDimension
at runtime, while I would be able to do it at build time - perhaps the
compiler drop the useless part of the code depending on the situation.
That said, it should have only a very small impact on execution time.
