[Insight-developers] please help urgent

Dear 
   
  i try to install ITK for the first time. i have problem i configuring the itk.
  first i have downloaded  (InsightToolkit-2.8.1.tar.gz) from downloads 
  then i downloaded cmake-2.2.3-win32.exe for windows  with visual studio 6
    i gave the path for source code such as (d:\mydocs\InsightToolkit-2.8.1 ) and
  gave the destination path such as (c:\Binary ) and when i pressed configure button
  it took very long time then hanged up and it seemed that it stoped.
   it did the same when i repeated it several times  
  i don't know how to solve this problem or how to configure the itk 
  So please tell me what is the problem ? or what are the correct steps to do the configuration ?
