[Insight-developers] Question about itkImageClassifierBase

Hi Tolga,
This class was one of the early classes that got checked into ITK. I do not recall having any discussion on challenges in making this class multi-threaded.  In my opinion, this class could benefit from an upgrade. One possible upgrade as you suggested is multi-threading the components of the ImageClassifier classes where possible

Hi all,

We are looking into using the ImageClassifierBase class to implement a
MRI segmentation algorithm. This class does not appear to be
multithreaded. Does anyone know if there is a special reason for this? 
We will write an independent classifier class if there is a reason why
the ImageClassifierBase class can't be multithreaded. Thanks for any input
