Subject: Your proposal for MICCAI'03 Tutorial
Dear Kevin,
Thank you very much for proposing the tutorial
Software Development Issues for Medical Imaging Computing & Computer
Assisted Interventions: Open Source Workshop at MICCAI 2003 The
Organizing Committee recently reviewed and discussed all suggestions
and decided to provisionally accept your proposal. I would like to
congratulate you to this well deserved success.
The Committee also agreed on the schedule for the final implementation
of the tutorial sessions for the MICCAI'03 Conference.
1. The title of the tutorials selected will be immediately published on
the home page of the conference. Please, give me a qick confirmation,
that we can use the title above for this preliminary announcement,
or let me know if some changes are needed.
2. I would like to ask you to finalize your proposal and send me the
edited version not later than 31. May 2003. In order to provide a
possibly standardized presentation, please structure the document
as follows:
i. Tutorial title
ii. Responsible organizer
Please, provide all contact details.
iii. Tutorial speakers
In order to maintain the tutorial character of the sessions, I
would like to ask you to keep the number of presenters limited
(no more than 3, preferably even less). This limitation does not
apply for the number of participants in eventual panel
discussions.
iv. Audience
Please, give a short statement about your expectations, regarding
the targeted audience and the eventual prerequisits needed.
v. Description
Please, provide a concise summary of the content of the tutorial
(0.5-1 page).
vi. Provisional schedule
Please take into account, that half-day slots have been allocated
for all tutorials, leaving 4-4.5 hours per tutorial including one
coffee break.
vii. Short CV of the speakers
3. The Organizing Committee will make the final decision about
acceptance before 9. June, based on the material submitted.
4. Registration for tutorials will be solicited from 9. June onwards. 5.
Based on the number of registrations received by the early-bird cut-off
date in mid August, the Organizing Committee will decide whether
there is a need to cancel tutorials due to lack of interest.
At that time I will inform you about the number of registrations
collected for your tutorial.
I would like to thank you for your important contribution to the
upcoming MICCAI conference and looking forward to an interesting and
informative tutorial session.
With best regards,
Gabor
